Our Story
One rusted container. A decade of conviction.
Gravity Cabins began in 2018 with a single question: why does building a weekend home in India take two years, when a shipping container can cross three oceans in six weeks? Our founders — an architect and a structural engineer — bought two decommissioned containers, built the first prototype cabin outside Bengaluru, and lived in it through a full monsoon to find every flaw the hard way.
That prototype became a system: corten steel shells, climate-tuned insulation, factory-fitted interiors and foundations that need days, not months. Word spread from one farm stay to the next. By 2021 we had delivered our fiftieth build; by 2023, resort clusters and city sales galleries were rolling out of our facility on the same production line.
Today, more than 140 Gravity Cabins structures stand across 11 states — lakeside villas, estate cabins, rooftop studios and cafés people cross the city to photograph. Each one still gets the founders' original obsession: precise engineering, honest pricing and a build you can move into in weeks.
